The 2001 Sauvignon Blanc Magnolia Lane includes 10% Semillon and about 5% Viognier in the blend. There is no malolactic, but approximately 10% is barrel-fermented. It is a distinctive, light-bodied Sauvignon offering hints of spearmint, grapefruit, and citrus in a pungent, aromatic style. It requires consumption over the next year. While this easy to like, accessible effort lacks complexity, it is a faithful representation of its varietal character, and is meant to offer plenty of up-front fruit as well as pleasure. The wine was produced from 100% estate fruit from the Kunde family vineyards in Sonoma Valley. There has been considerable replanting of some of Kunde's major vineyards.Tel.
