The 2011 Vosne-Romanee Village has a very precise, stony bouquet with dark-cherry fruit infused with forest-floor aromas that gently unfolds in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with black pepper on the opening. It displays fine balance, but shows just a little too much wood towards the slightly herbaceous finish. Drink now-2022.
Sebastian Cathiard kindly offered two or three examples of the 2011 vintage after tasting through his 2012s at the domaine.
