Walch’s 2006 Beyond the Clouds is a blend of Chardonnay and various other varieties. This medium-bodied white reveals exotic aromatics, ripe tropical fruit and French oak. The wine offers good length, but in 2006 the wine comes across as lean and lacking the stuffing of the finest vintages.Anticipated maturity: 2008-2011. Elena Walch makes stylish wines from her vineyards in Alto Adige.
