The 2008 Chardonnay Edition Limite is, as the name implies, a 5-barrel selection available only at the winery. It was barrel-fermented and aged sur lie with batonnage in 60% new oak for 9 months. Light gold in color, with an alluring bouquet of toasty oak, mineral, poached pear, apple, and hazelnuts, it has plenty of mid-palate fruit, excellent volume, impeccable balance, and a lengthy, pure finish.
