The 2009 Chardonnay Edition Limite is, as the name implies, a 5-barrel selection available only at the winery. It was barrel-fermented and aged sur lie with batonnage in 60% new oak for 9 months. It offers up an alluring bouquet of toasty oak, mineral, spiced apple, and toasted nuts. Richer and more concentrated than the Arthur bottling, it has plenty of mid-palate fruit, excellent volume, impeccable balance, and a lengthy, pure finish. Drink it over the next 6-7 years. Tel.
