The 2008 Syrah Toasted Slope includes 3% Viognier, 3% Mourvedre and 2% Grenache. It shows good length in a rich, forward style laced with generous red fruit. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2014. Unfortunately I was not able to taste Alta Colina's 2009 reds, as they had just been bottled and the winery understandably preferred to give the wines time in bottle prior to showing them. Tel.
