Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2011 Gnarly Dudes Shiraz gives a lovely mulberry and pepper character with an underlying savory / smoked bacon suggestion. Medium to full-bodied with a good amount of juicy berry and spice flavors and balanced acid, it is softly structured, finishing medium to long with some anise coming through. Drinking well now, it should keep to 2016.
