The already bottled 2003 Cotes du Rhone-Villages Beaumes de Venise is a blend of 75% Grenache and the rest Syrah and other southern Rhone varietals. A generous, plump red offering loads of fat, sweet black currant and cherry fruit, admirable texture and glycerin, and a chunky, fleshy finish, it should be consumed over the next 3-4 years.
