Celler Cecilio’s unoaked 2007 Negre is a blend of 50% Garnacha, 30% Carinena, and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep crimson-colored, it delivers an enticing perfume of crushed stone, scorched earth, lavender, black cherry, and black plum. Layered, ripe, and succulent; on the palate, Asian spices and wild berry flavors emerge. This pleasure-bent offering is an outstanding value and a great introduction to Priorat.
