The Collosorbo 2018 Rosso di Montalcino offers an open bouquet that is generous, honest and soft. There is a nice frankness or simplicity to the wine, and that ultimately is its best quality. This Rosso offers good density and richness, making it a good choice for oven-roasted lasagna or ricotta-stuffed pasta shells. There is a hint of ripeness here that recalls sweet or candied cherry. This is a medium-weight red that is not too thin, and certainly not too thick. It's just right for your favorite home-cooked meals. Some 50,000 bottles were released in December 2019.
