The 1999 Montepirolo is the debut release of this Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot blend. The dominant component is Cabernet Sauvignon, which is obvious in the aromatics of sweet creme de cassis, licorice, cedar, and spice box. Opaque ruby/purple-colored, deep, medium to full-bodied, pure, ripe, and concentrated, this youthful 1999 is extremely promising.
