The 2009 Pinot Noir Diversite was made by Scott Shul of Raptor Ridge. It was aged in 33% new French oak. It is a meatier, darker-fruited wine with excellent depth and concentration on the palate. Nicely balanced and lengthy, it is likely to evolve for 1-2 years and will offer a drinking window extending from 2012 to 2021.
Tom Mortimer has divided his Le Cadeau Vineyard into five parcels with each block produced by a different winemaker. It is a relatively young vineyard with plantings in 1999, 2002, 2006, and 2008.
