Located in the town of Saint Peray, winemaker Stephane Robert produced a brilliant Cornas in 2003. His top cuvee, the 2003 Cornas Vin Noir is seriously aromatic and has loads of kirsch, game, seaweed and ground herbs aromas and flavors all soaring from the glass. Hitting the palate with full-bodied richness, big texture and notable freshness that carries through the finish, it’s drinking well at point, but will continue to dish out ample pleasure over the coming 4-5 years, possibly longer.
