From a tiny parcel of old vines in Monts Luisants, the 2019 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru opens in the glass with aromas of sweet berries, raw cocoa, cassis, orange rind, spices and petals. Full-bodied, deep and concentrated, it's serious and tightly wound, with lively acids and considerable reserves of fine, chalky tannins. Long and mineral, this will be well worth seeking out.
