This Tuscan winery has turned out a bevy of attractive wines. The 1993 Chianti Classico Riserva Solatio Basilica reveals sweet cherry/cedary fruit, good spice, medium body, and a tannic, high acid, firm finish. The wine is pure, but angular, suggesting further bottle aging is necessary to soften its edges. Cellar it for 6 more months, and drink it over the following 6-7 years.
