The 2007 Cotes du Luberon Bastide de Rhodares is a blend of equal parts Grenache and Syrah that was aged in old wood. It exhibits a deep ruby/purple color along with notes of spring flowers, red and black fruits, damp earth, and spice, super fruit, and a luscious texture. Consume it over the next 4-5 years. This wine is a super bargain. This partial look at the Tardieu-Laurent portfolio concentrates on the value-priced offerings from the southern Rhone.
