The entry-level red, the 2016 Serras del Priorat is a blend of Garnacha, Cari?ena, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon where they want to show the freshness of the fruit. It fermented with part of the stems put back in with selected yeasts and temperature control. It matured in used French oak barrels for seven months. The juiciness and freshness are quite impressive, and the wine shows youth but is serious, with hints of complexity and subtleness and a very balanced mouthfeel. Really delicious. 15,128 bottles were filled in June 2017.
