Sourced from the southern end of Oakville (behind Brix restaurant), the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville is Clone 337. Scents of cinnamon, blackberries, cassis and cedar mark the nose, while the palate is medium to full-bodied, a bit more streamlined and potentially age-worthy but not as plush and generous as either the Coombsville or Rutherford bottlings.

Brimming with dark currant, blackberry and boysenberry compote flavors, this has a backdrop of anise, violet and sweet bay leaf for added range and contrast, all supported by nicely buried energy.
