The 2005 L’Espill, sourced from a single vineyard with vines over 52 years of age, is a blend of 60% Garnacha, 30% Carinena, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. It was naturally fermented with wild yeasts and aged for 12 months in French oak. Purple colored, it surrenders an already complex bouquet of kirsch, Asian spices, lavender, crushed stone, and black plum. Intense, dense, and loaded, it will continue to blossom for another 3-4 years. It can be approached now but will be in its prime from 2013 to 2020.
