This wine, which reveals impeccable winemaking, can be consumed with veal or chicken dishes. The dry, late harvested 1999 Verdicchio Balciana exhibits fine intensity as well as a heavy character. Nevertheless, the wine is well-made, rich, and best served with rich seafood, such as scallops or lobster. Drink it over the next 2-3 years.
