Clear, pure and mineral on the nose, with flinty, iron-flavored lemon aromas and oriental spice flavors on the nose opens the 2014 Nackenheim Rothenberg Riesling Sp?tlese. This wine was made entirely from ripe, healthy grapes. Light, very sweet (85 grams per liter of residual sugar!) and piquant on the palate, this is a salty, mineral and tension-filled Sp?tlese with just 7.5% alcohol, lots of finesse and a salty finish. Lean and straight, with grip and stimulating tension, but the wine will become even better in ten years.
