Pastry crust and vanilla notes accent the baked boysenberries on the nose of the 2017 Shiraz. It's medium to full-bodied, lush and creamy on the palate, with soft, dusty tannins on the finish. It should be a fine value when it's bottled at the end of May. It's a blend of three estate vineyards, aged in large-format (500-liter) American oak, about 10% to 15% new.
