Deep garnet in color with a hint of purple, the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon is profoundly scented of blackcurrant cordial, eucalypt and dried Mediterranean herbs with hints of dark chocolate, cedar and cloves. Full bodied with a good amount of minty cassis flavor, it has a nice line of crisp acidity and medium level of finely grained tannins, finishing long. Drinking now, it should remain good to 2016.
