The 1993 Pommard Clos des Epeneaux is more fragrant on the nose compared to the 1991, with scents of black fruit, balsam, black olive compote and wild mushroom – almost New World in style. It has better level of acidity than the 1991, although it is rather sweet and consequently lacks tension towards the finish. Drink now.
