Etude's 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford, from Morisoli, is richer, deeper and riper than the Oakville bottling, largely owing to the small berries present in this site. Black cherries, plums, smoke, tar and licorice jump from the glass. This is a decidedly flashy, exuberant 2009 loaded with personality and sheer character.
