This slightly sweet, low alcohol (under 5%), aperitif wine has few peers for lightness and charm. However, in about six months, the wine will oxidize, the nose will fall apart, and it will merit a score in the mid-sixties. So the lesson is to either drink it over the next six months, or wait for the 2001 to be released. Notes of apricots, peaches, and honeysuckle blast from the glass of this light-bodied, gorgeously fruity, fresh, slightly sweet Moscato. As I have said many times in the past ... this is a perfect aperitif and/or breakfast wine.
