The 2015 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, from vines located in Le Charlemagne picked on 10 September, was missing some intensity on the nose, although with time there are light Seville orange marmalade and orange cordial scents that emerge. The palate is medium-bodied with good acidity, nicely structured with presence towards the finish, it not quite the nervosité or complexity that would elevate up to the top league. This is an enjoyable Corton-Charlemagne rather than a truly great one.
