The lovely 2009 Trebbiano d'Abruzzo delivers the goods in an elegant and confident manner. This is an exceptional white wine from central Italy that drinks beautifully right now or could age longer (maybe up to ten years with good cellaring conditions). There is little fruit on the nose. Instead, this refreshing white delivers crushed mineral notes, white almond skin and dried flowers. It also offers a touch of pretty candied orange peel as well. Extra years of bottle aging have added elegance and slightly perceptible notes of oxidation and evolution.
