The 2013 Orbus is a varietal Syrah from the Mediterranean zone of Alella fermented in stainless steel and raised in oak barrels for 14 months. It has a sweet nose of spices, vanilla and coconut intermixed with some smoky notes, ripe black fruit and some flowers, a bit heady overall. The palate is medium to full-bodied with charred aromas and some sweet sensations, with fine tannins. It is quite commercial. 2,000 bottles produced.
