The 2007 Langhe Nebbiolo is another pristine wine from Cortese. Sweet roses, spices and flowers come together in this sensual, harmonious red. The finish is simply gorgeous. Even better, Cortese’s 2007 Langhe Nebbiolo is a great value comparable in quality to a village-level Burgundy. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2014.
This is easily the finest and most consistent set of wines I have ever tasted from Cortese, particularly among the entry-level bottlings, where in the past quality has been irregular.
