The 1998 Rosso della Langhe Faletta (a 50% Barbera, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 25% Nebbiolo blend aged in barrique) is too internationally-styled for me, but the wine's quality is unquestionably good. Elegant black currant and cherry notes are combined with abundant quantities of toasty new oak, resulting in a medium-bodied, well-made wine to drink over the next decade.
