The 2015 Barbaresco offers a textbook rendition of the vintage, executed in an elegant style that was not easy for everyone to achieve across the appellation. Many Barbarescos from this vintage taste a tad overripe, but not this wine. It offers a degree of roundness and plumpness for sure, but it feels contained and elegantly restrained at the same time. Some 20,000 bottles were produced.

The bright cherry core is augmented by licorice and spice notes in this austere red. The tannins are chunky, though this finishes with a coda of sweet fruit. Best from 2022 through 2033. 1,666 cases made, 400 cases imported.??–BS??Region: Italy / Piedmont / Barbaresco Select to Add
