I have always enjoyed the Bricco del Drago, and while the 1993 and 1994 are qualitatively equal, they are made in different styles. The 1993 Bricco del Drago offers an unmistakable nose of black-raspberries and white chocolate scents, as well as tasty, ripe, savory, berry flavors with earth and spice. It is a medium-bodied, complex wine with a sweet personality. It is already drinking well and should continue to do so for at least a decade. These are somewhat insiders' wines, but readers who love the wines of Piedmont should be sure to taste them.Importer: Empson, USA, Alexandria, VA; tel. (703) 684-0900
