The red 2016 El Sender is a blend of 70% Garnacha, 20% Syrah and 10% Morenillo that fermented in stainless steel with selected yeasts and matured mostly in 300-liter French and Central European oak barrels for six months, with 15% of the wine matured in egg-shaped concrete vats. It has a very attractive, fruit-driven and floral nose with ripe fruit, violets and a touch of spices and a medium-bodied, vibrant and fresh palate with very fine tannins and Mediterranean character but very good freshness. 52,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in February 2018.
