Better known for its Cabs, Spring Mountain has been quietly building up its Sauvignon Blanc, and now produces one of the better ones in Napa Valley. The wine is dry and quite crisp in acids, with rich, exotic flavors of Meyer lemon, quince, lime zest, Asian pear and spice. A touch of oak and stirring on the lees provides the perfect touch of richness and cream.——S.H.(11/1/2008)—— 90
