Made from one of the most beautiful areas of Northern Spain where the vines slope down to the Bay of Biscayne near the fishing village of Getaria, the 2014 Txakoli White is 90% Hondarrabi Zuri and 10% Hondarrabi Beltza. The wine shows a touch of trapped CO2, which is intentional, as it's aged sur lie for eight months prior to bottling. The wine has crisp oyster shell, grapefruit and citrus oil notes, is fresh and dry -- a perfect foil for the shell fish and seafood of the local waters. It is best drunk in its first couple years of life.
