As to the Condrieu, I was shocked at the quality of both new releases. One of the top two to three wines in the vintage is unquestionably the 2015 Condrieu Coteau de Chery. Coming from one of the best terroirs in the appellation, it has full-bodied, concentrated, yet never heavy notes of white peach, orange blossom and tangerine in an ultra-pure, fresh, layered style that’s just hard to resist. It’s up there with some of the greatest Condrieu I have tasted.
