Chapoutier acquired a small parcel of vines on this famed lieu-dit several years ago and has set about replanting half of the vineyard with a sélection massale taken from the remaining old vines. So, there is only a tiny mount (79 cases) of the stunning 2017 Condrieu Coteaux du Chery. Loaded with textbook notes of flowers and apricots, it's a lovely, pure expression of Viognier. Full-bodied and richly textured, it's plush, long and balanced, with refreshing hints of citrus zest on the finish.

This offers creamy-textured notes of yellow apple, white peach, yellow plum and green almond that are seamlessly entwined and carried by a subtle quinine accent.
