The 2011 Pinot Noir John Sebastiano Vineyard gives up a big meaty and masculine profile, with surprising ripeness to the fruit. Black cherry, decaying leaves, currant, leather and even hints of licorice all show here and it has a rich, layered mid-palate and sweet tannin. It, too, should drink nicely for a minimum of 5-6 years. Drink now-2019.
This was a classy, character filled lineup of wines by the folks at Foxen.
