The 2014 Weisser Burgunder Reserve is clear, fresh and elegant on the focused nose with its ripe pip fruit, chalk and lemon aromas. On the palate, this is a very elegant, intense and creamy textured wine with finesse, but also power and a certain sweetness in the finish. It does not stimulate me as much as the perfect 2015, since I feel the alcohol and more sweetness in the aftertaste. The 2015 was picked a little bit earlier to improve the freshness and this was the right decision.
