The 2018 Weisser Burgunder Reserve is intense and clear but quite oaky on the intense and fruity nose. Full-bodied, rich and intensely fruity on the palate, this is an irritating international type of Pinot that doesn't give me a kick at all. Well done but stylistically boring, though with a seemingly refreshing touch of Sauvignon Blanc (which is my personal impression, but I'm pretty sure that's not a reality). Tasted from AP 2120 in April 2020.
