Parusso's style of Barolo is lighter than that of many other producers. Parusso's newest releases are the strongest wines he has yet made. The 1990 Barbera-Pugnane reveals good ripeness and chewiness, a dense texture, plenty of perfume, and a spicy, crisp, zesty finish. It should drink well for another 5-7 years.
