The 2004 Marbore is a blend of 50% Tempranillo, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, and the balance Parraleta and Moristel. It was aged in new French barriques for 16-18 months. Dark ruby-colored, the nose offers up earth notes, mineral, pencil lead, leather, black cherry, and black currant. On the palate it reveals a forward personality, some elegance, and plenty of spicy fruit. It will evolve for 2-3 years but can be enjoyed now through 2020.
