The 2006 Pinot Noir Momtazi Vineyard from a biodynamically farmed vineyard in McMinnville is the darkest of these wines both in color and flavor. Spicy black cherry and black raspberry fruit on the palate leads to a chewy, fruit-filled finish. Drink this fleshy Pinot through 2016. Boedecker Cellars is the winery of husband/wife team Athena Pappas and Stewart Boedecker. The wines are all produced from contracted fruit and bottled in Stelvin screw caps in their new winery in an industrial section of Portland. Firm in texture, with pretty currant and dead leaf aromas and flavors, nicely wrapped in fine tannins as the finish persists. Best from 2009 through 2015. 50 cases made. -HS
