The 1999 "35" is a blend of 50% Sangiovese, 40% Merlot, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 18 months in French oak. Its opaque purple color is followed by sumptuous aromas of black cherry jam intermixed with currants, new saddle leather, vanilla, espresso, and smoke.
