This single-vineyard Chianti smells a touch horsey, but if you like a heavy leather and barnyard scent, then dig in. Beyond that, there’s some lavender and violet aromas, cherry and wood flavors, and a toasty, full-oak finish. The feel is ultra-tight and there’s a lot of kick toward the end. Maybe it still needs more time.——M.S.(11/15/2003)—— 87
