Aromas of plums, berries and loamy soil introduce the 2021 Rahoul, a medium-bodied, lively wine built around powdery tannins and somewhat angular acids.

The 2020 Rahoul is deep garnet-purple colored, giving up scents of stewed black plums, spiced blackberries and black cherry preserves, with hints of tar, licorice and camphor. The medium-bodied palate delivers a good amount of black berry preserves flavors with a slight chewiness to the texture and plenty of freshness, finishing on a stewed tea note.

The 2019 Rahoul exhibits aromas of cherries, berries and burning embers. Medium-bodied, delicately fleshy and moderately concentrated, with lively acids and powdery tannins, it's a creditable effort from Dourthe.
