A blend of 40% Clairette, 25% each Bourboulenc and Grenache Blanc, plus 10% Roussanne, the 2020 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc delivers notes of pear and melon. It's medium to full-bodied, with a gentle, silky feel, but ultimately comes across as fresh, fruity and a bit simple.

A balanced, open and charming wine, the 2019 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc is a blend of Bourboulenc, Clairette, Grenache Blanc and Roussanne, with a small proportion made and matured in oak. Scents of ripe pear, melon and pineapple mark the nose, while the medium to full-bodied palate is round and silky, picking up hints of anise and lime on the finish.

A blend of 40% Clairette, 25% each Grenache Blanc and Bourboulenc and 10% Roussanne, fermented and aged in one-fifth new oak (the rest is done in stainless steel), the 2018 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc features hints of smoke wreathing pineapple notes. It's medium to full-bodied, and while it lacks the rich mid-palate of many of the 2018 whites, it shows decent flavor and persistence.

The 2016 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc, a four-variety blend that saw 20% new oak, offers hints of honey and tangerine on the nose. It's medium to full-bodied, with a clean, refreshing finish loaded with orange zest.

The estate makes a single white and it’s always high quality. The 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc offers lots of minerality and classic citrus, buttered apple, spice and a touch of nuttiness in a medium-bodied, rich, yet fresh and classic style. I haven’t had any aged white from this estate, but I don’t see any reason why this would evolve nicely. As always, I like them in their youth.
