A strong effort from this lesser-spotted premier cru, the 2021 Beaune 1er Cru Pertuisots delivers aromas of dark berries, raw cocoa, orange rind and spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied, fleshy palate with good tension and persistence.

The 2019 Beaune 1er Cru Pertuisots is another beauty, bursting with aromas of rose petals, peonies, blood orange, warm spices, sweet red berries and raw cocoa. Medium to full-bodied, supple and caressing, it's lively and sensual, with melting tannins and a saline finish.

Opening in the glass with a rich bouquet of cassis, plums, dark chocolate and espresso roast, the 2018 Beaune 1er Cru Pertuisots is medium to full-bodied, velvety and enveloping, with tangy acids, chalky tannins and a nicely concentrated core of fruit. Elegantly structured but built to age, this is a serious wine with considerable upside.

From a colder site with shallower soils, the 2017 Beaune 1er Cru Pertuisots displays aromas of baking chocolate, dark berries and candied peel. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, firm and chalky, with less flesh on its structural bones.
