The 2016 Beaune 1er Cru Pertuisots has suffered frost and hail more than any other since 2012, according to David Croix. It offers crunchy cranberry and blackcurrant scents on the nose, quite fresh and nicely detailed if not quite as nuanced as the Bressandes. The palate is well balanced, quite saline in the mouth with a structured, lightly peppered finish.
